The player must explore various towns, cities, and routes, catching and training Pokemon along the way, to become the strongest trainer in the region. Throughout the game, the player character also encounters various other characters, including rivals and professors, who provide guidance and information about the world of Pokemon. Once all eight Gym Leaders are defeated, the player can challenge the Elite Four and the champion of the Pokemon League. The player must stop Team Galactic and its leader, Cyrus, from carrying out their plans.Īs the player progresses through the game, they also battle against eight Gym Leaders, each specializing in a different type of Pokemon. The game takes place in the Sinnoh region, where the player character embarks on a journey to become a Pokemon trainer and ultimately become the champion of the Pokemon League.Īlong the way, the player character encounters a criminal organization known as Team Galactic, which seeks to harness the power of legendary Pokemon to achieve its nefarious goals. The story of Pokemon Renegade Platinum is similar to that of the original Pokemon Platinum game, with some minor differences.

Some of the changes that can be found in Renegade Platinum include an expanded regional Pokedex, updated moves and abilities for all Pokemon, the ability to catch all 493 Pokemon from the first four generations, and a new area called the Battle Frontier which offers various challenging battles. It was created by Drayano and features various changes and additions to the original game, including increased difficulty, new movesets and abilities for Pokemon, and new areas to explore.
